I’m a Data Science M.S. student (Drew, ’26) who builds practical analytics and ML. Recent work: EV adoption analysis on 235k+ Washington State records, a movie recommender that reaches ~80% accuracy, a desktop YOLOv11n detection app (images/video/webcam), and a manga sentiment pipeline (Selenium → NLTK/TextBlob → Tableau/Power BI). Before grad school, I spent 6+ years leading cross functional VFX/animation teams—experience I now apply to scoping data problems, shipping on time, and communicating results clearly.
Interests: Data storytelling, recommender systems, computer vision, and launching small tools that make decisions faster.
Projects
- Object Detection App (YOLOv11n) - Python, Tkinter, Torch, OpenCV: Built a real-time image/video/camera detection app using the YOLOv11n model, achieving mAP@0.5 > 85% and ~30 FPS; added object & people counting and before-after visualization. Link
- Manga Sentiment (Mashle, 90+ reviews) - Python, Selenium, TextBlob, NLTK, Power BI/Tableau: Scraped and analyzed audience reviews for Mashle; achieved 83% sentiment classification accuracy, visualizing polarity trends and reader emotions across platforms. Link
- EV Adoption (WA, 235k+ records) - Python (Polars, Plotly): Engineered brand- and city-level cohorts; surfaced Tesla’s >250 mi range (+20% vs next brand) and Seattle’s 3× lead, enabling a 4-chart narrative on EV range and adoption concentration. Link
- Movie Recommender (90 titles) - Python, R (KNN, DT, LR): Developed models to predict top-rated movies with ~80% accuracy; compared Euclidean vs. Manhattan similarity for top-5 recommendations. Link
